The Lord is Risen Indeed

But now is Christ risen from the dead. ~ I Corinthians 15:20

Today is Easter. We celebrate the next chapter of human history in which God’s Kingdom shall come. Through the resurrection of Christ, there is proclamation that God has already spoken.

Amid a world that is blinded by Satan’s powers, blighted by sin and torn by war, “amid the crash of armies and amid the crash of wrecked hopes”, amid a feeble human nature that seeks selfish gains, who believe it possible to work out their own salvation – amid it all, the doom and gloom of problems that offset an otherwise contented present, there is one truth to provide comfort and promise. “God raised up the crucified Christ from the dead.”

Let us reflect on the historical fact and the power of the event.

Today, my prayer for you and I is that we may know the transforming power in our hearts, our dispositions and our characters. May it bring us into refining fellowship with God.
