When Christ who is our life shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory. ~ Colossians 3:4

We live in a show-me society. Moreover, it’s a society of immediacy.

Kids are encouraged to give up education for millions of dollars and fame of professional sports, actors and musicians are increasingly younger when they arrive at fame’s door and many folks simply live in dire debt because they have discovered the wondors of credit and borrowing.

And it’s all for show. There are a few individuals who are able to overcome the bad that goes with it, but most often, you hear about the ugly side of things. Heck, even Marsha Brady snorted cocaine (please hold the “owe my nose” jokes for a different blog).

This type of mindset does not enable a firm foundation for talking about a God or Christ who cannot be visually seen or personally touched. It would be so much simpler to beleive if that were possible, wouldn’t it?

“Many intellects will be confounded when Christ actually does appear according to promise; they will no longer be able to disbelieve in Him; yet will they therefore love and welcome Him?”

Will they even care?

Today, my prayer for you and I is that we will maintain our faith in trying times and in good times.
